A famous line from the song Someday we'll know, sung by Mandy Moore featuring Jon Foreman. A line that is so true, mysterious and very intriguing. Who is Amelia Earhart?

Atlantic Ocean is one of the largest Ocean, a major body of water in the earth's surface. In 1928, Amelia Mary Earhart also known as Amelia Earhart, serves as a passenger in a Fokker F.VIIb/3m and safely landed at Wales, United Kingdom.From the province of Canada across Atlantic Ocean up to the UK it took them 20 hours and 40 minutes. With this journey she is named as the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. She was named "Lady Lindy", as a female version of Charles Lindbergh and also called "Queen of the Air".

This is just the beginning, after the famous flight, she attempted and successfully surpasses flight records. The money that she was earning from endorsements and for being an associate editor at Cosmopolitan magazine was use as a finance to her flying expeditions. In 1932, Amelia again crossed the Atlantic Ocean, but this time she is in the pilot seat. After 14 hours, 56 minutes she landed at Derry, Northern Ireland where Amelia Earhart Centre is built.

In 1937 Amelia together with her husband George Putnam finance her fly and attempt a round the world flight with a a record breaker of 29000 miles. June 1 of the same year Amelia and Fred Noonan started the journey, from Miami to Lae New Guinea they already achieved 22000 miles. July 1,1937 they left Lae with a mission to land at Howland Island and fulfill a 29000 miles round the world flight. But the mission was unsuccessful, after the last radio communication with Earhart nothing was heard from them.

Private and government search/rescue operations lasted for almost 2 years. Aside from false radio and recorded signals nothing was found as an evidence of crashed or explosion. No one can tell what happened to them and on January 1939 when her husband requested for "death in absentia", Amelia Earhart legally declared dead.

The disappearance of Amelia is still a mystery, and after 72 years the question is still "What happened to Amelia Earhart?".

Arnel Pineda on Oprah Winfrey Show.

Filipino pride Arnel Pineda and the members of Journey, guested on The Oprah Winfrey Show last Oct. 5,2009. After Charice Pempengco, it is Arnel's turn to sit, talk, and sing on one of the most popular show in the US. The lead singer performed with the band and sung Faithfully, this is the song that brought him as a band's frontman. He sang the song in Manila's Hard Rock Cafe and uploaded it on Youtube. That time Journey band is looking for a new frontman after Steve Perry left the band. After watching Arnel's performance and a seeing him perform live, the members decided to give the job to him.

It features the life of Arnel Pineda here in the Philippines, all the hardship and struggled he gone through to survive. Because of his determination and talent he was able to surpass all the challenges.

Journey has a new album entittled Revelation. This is the band's thirteenth album and Arnel Pineda's first with Journey.

2016 Olympics is in Rio de Janeiro.

Even the presence of Oprah Winfrey and US first couple Pres. Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama did not alter the decision of International Olympic Committee.IOC gave the hosting of 2016 Olympics to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Pres. Obama is present to support Chicago to be the next host of the said sports celebration, but as early as the first round voting, Chicago was eliminated.

Tokyo was eliminated at the second round and Madrid is also considered, but Rio de Janeiro was chosen to be the next host for the 2016 Olympics.This is the fifth time that the said country competed and after four rejections, Brazil now is the next destination for the world's best athletes.

Rio de Janeiro is the first South American country to host the Olympics.

Tsunami in Samoa, earthquake in Indonesia.

This week 2 natural disaster happened in two different countries. Samoa was hit by an 8.0 magnitude earthquake that causes a 35 ft tsunami. While in Indonesia a 7.9 earthquake brought down buildings, and houses.

Tsunami in Samoa left 150 dead people including a Brit child who has been swept away by the tidal wave. Just like what happened in the Philippines, bodies were in streets, in trees and cars were thrown like toys.

Indonesia also felt the movement of the plates and a 7.9 earthquake occur. Buildings was brought down and left 500 plus dead people. Authorities is now recovering dead bodies and helping people who has been trapped inside a building or in their houses.

Expert said that the epicenter of the earthquake is right in the fault line of the Pacific "Ring of Fire". That's why it was felt in two different countries which is thousands of miles apart. Pacific "Ring of Fire" is where continental plates in the earth's crust meet and earthquakes and volcanic activity are common.

Another one? Typhoon Pepeng will hit the Philippines.

People were not yet recovering after typhoon Ondoy yet another typhoon is expecting to hit the Philippines this Saturday. Typhoon Pepeng (international name:Parma) is now in the Philippine area of responsibility and PAGASA said that it has a sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 230 kph.Pepeng is carrying a "disastrous" winds opposite Ondoy who carries a lot of rainfall.

The said typhoon is taking the path of Aurora and Isabela province. Right now Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Quezon, Aurora, and Polillo Island is under storm signal number 1.

Authorities is now taking precautionary measures, every body is now asking to stay safe and be prepared.Also dams or major water reservoirs will release amount of water to prevent the risks of overflowing when the typhoon arrived.

A brand new day... to live (Typhoon Ondoy tragedy update)

As of this writing all the people who have been trapped and stranded is now safe. Some are in evacuation centers and some are just staying with their friends or relatives house.

Right now, 90 % of the people in the Manila region (NCR) is now starting to rebuild their houses or get somethings that they can still use after the tragedy. But watching how deep is the mud in streets and inside their houses, it would be just a miracle to get useful things again.

Until now authorities are still recovering numbers of dead people. Some are still looking for their relatives, who have been separated from them during the strong flash flood.

As of now..

Classes in some cities and provinces are now suspended until Friday.
No electricity in all the cities who have been heavily affected by the typhoon.
Some main streets are still under repair and not passable.

ONDOY: The power of Nature.

Yesterday after 24 hours of raining, a city becomes a sea of water. Nature proves how powerful he is when he strikes back. Thousands of people where stranded and trapped in the roof of their house. Children, old people, people who are sick and pregnant women badly needs food and water after staying the whole day at the top of their house.

Even celebrities were trapped in their house, Christine Reyes, Jennica Garcia, Gladys Reyes and Carmina Villaroel are some of those who ask help. Christine was saved by her friend Richard Gutierrez, Jennica was saved about 1 am in the morning, Gladys was rescued by her friends Judy Anne Santos and her husband Ryan Agoncillo. Carmina Villaroel as of now where still trapped in their house.

Numbers of dead people is now being carried after the flood subside. Mainly they died of drowning after being washed out by a strong current of water. The most affected areas are Rizal, Marikina, Pasig and Cainta.

The bright side of this disaster is everyone where really doing their best to help all the people who are trapped and stranded. Specially those big commercial companies, famous local celebrities, the government officials, soldiers and even just ordinary people. The Kapamilya ABS-CBN Network and the GMA 7 Kapuso Network is now collecting cash and pledges to help. The two big networks are now giving relief goods, food, medicine, and clothes.

Right now my prayers goes for those who have losts their love ones and for those who are still looking for their families and relatives.
