"The one" for Manny Pacquiao

Zyrene Parsad became a household name when she joined GMA 7's singing search Are You the Next Big Star? Zyrene, 24 won 3rd place in the said competition and joined the defunct show S.O.P.

After her stint in the television, she got herself busy singing to corporate and private affairs.When she got invited in the Investor's night in Saranggani province and sung the national anthem, Lupang Hinirang,  Congressman Manny Pacquiao heard her. In that moment she was chosen to sing the Lupang Hinirang on November 13, 2010 in Cowboy Stadium Arlington Texas for the Pacquiao-Margarito fight.

She's so excited at the same time nervous about it because most of the singers who sung the song was criticized by the National Historic Commission. For her preparation, she immediately went to her dentist and removed her braces even if it is not yet due.

Pepsi Herrera designed a red Serpina gown for Zyrene and advised her to wear heels to compliment her gown. The gown is expensive because of the fabric and the beaded swarovski crytals.
