Obama got elbow and gets 12 stitches.

Pres. Obama got elbow by Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. in a pickup game. Right in his upper lip, the president had 12 stitches under local anesthesia. 

Press secretary Robert Gibbs inform the press people about the incident. "After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player's elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the president received 12 stitches today administered by the White House Medical Unit," Gibbs said.

 

The president with his family and friends had 5 on 5 contest, and during the final round Decerega took a turn around shot and hit President Obama right in the face.

Decerega issued a statement late Friday "I learned today the president is both a tough competitor and a good sport," the statement said. "I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning. I'm sure he'll be back out on the court again soon.
