American Idol Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, gave some clue for tonight's performances of the Top 12. The producer call Ryan Seacrest in his radio station KIIS FM and gave some hint for this week's performance night.
The theme will be "Top 12 birth year", Casey Adams born 1991 will be singing Nirvana's biggest hit "Smells like Teen Spirit". This is the first time a Nirvana song will be perform on Idol stage.
The 16 year old Thia Megia will be singing "Colors of the Wind". The producer praised Thia's talent “Her beautiful, clear cut voice. And she is choosing ‘Smile,’ ‘Out Here on My Own,’ and now ‘Colors of the Wind’ that are so plaintive and melodic.”
