After being convicted of drug trafficking in Hongkong, former Congressman Ronald Singson send his resignation letter to House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. last tuesday. (Inquirer.net)
In his resignation he said, it is a “painful decision” to give up his House seat not because he was succumbing to the demands of a “noisy few” in the chamber who were clamoring for his expulsion.
This decision is for his father Gov. Chavit Singson “because it was his name and honor that was mercilessly dragged into the tempest of my own doing.”
People from the House of Representatives asked for his resignation or expulsion from the house days after he was caught carrying the drugs.
