PeopleAsia celebrated their 12th anniversary at the Dusit Thani in Makati City.
"People of the year" award is part of their yearly celebration. It recognized world-class Filipinos and Pinoys who inspire others.
Sarangani congressman and 8 division champ Manny Pacquiao is hailed as "Man of the Decade". Cong. Pacquiao said, he inspire others because of the life that they had and how he work hard to be where he is right now.
Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup and Miss World 2011 first runner-up Gwendoline Ruais, Senator Edgardo Angara; Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago; SM Development Corp. CEO Henry Sy. Jr; photographer Jun de Leon, National Artist Ben Cabrera; Louie Ocampo; Philippine Hoteliers Inc. president Evelyn Singson; Ted Failon and Mel Tiangco receive the "People of the Year" award.
Last year, Raissa Laurel, victim of the bar exam bombing, Ryan Cayabyab, Kenneth Cobonpue, Mike Enriquez, Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, Venus Raj and Josie Cruz Natori, are some of the recipient of the "People of the Year" award.
