Prince William and Catherine Middleton are now engaged, the announcement is held at St. James's Palace. The blue sapphire diamond ring that Prince Charles gave to Princess Diana as their engagement ring is now their engagement ring.
The two met in 2001 at St Andrews University in Scotland and became a couple. In 2007 they decided to end their relationship but they remain friends. After a few months they got back and supported each other.
The royal family and Catherine's parents are happy for the couple.
