Filipinos are so into teleserye, we feel so affected of the stories and the characters. Mara Clara is what they call mother of all teleserye in Philippine television, it runs from 1992 to1997 and it made Judy Anne Santos and Gladys Reyes a household name.
Judy Anne as Mara got the Filipinos sympathy and love her for being the under dog, while Gladys Reyes became the ultimate kontrabida with how she portray Clara.
Now, after 15 years, ABS-CBN decided to do a remake of the said teleserye. Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes are the new teen star who portray Mara and Clara.
We can say that whether it is Judy Anne or Kathryn who portray Mara, people who had been a big fan of the said teleserye will really get themselves involved in the story.
This 10 year old girl cried her heart out as she watch Mara Clara.
