The RH bill debate is the biggest issue right now, but Mommy Dionisia is taking the spotlight.
Dionisia Pacquiao's son, Cong. Manny Pacquiao is against the RH bill and Sen. Miriam Santiago wants him out. Mommy D supports her son, she wants other public officials to respect her son's stand regrading the bill. It is not a big deal that she is defending her son, but with her recent interview, it seems like she offended a community, the gay community.

Spokesperson of the Progressive Organization of Gays (ProGay Philippines), Goya Candelario released a statement on the homophobic remarks of Mommy D. Candelario said "With all due respect, we want Mommy Dionisia to know that we are deeply offended,". "afraid that her words can again revive the 'disease model' of homosexuality and transexuality in Philippine society."
"We should work to remove discrimination and homophobia in health care services for LGBTs, because the World Health Organization has already declared in 1990 that homosexuality is not a mental illness," Candelario said. "We ask people like Ms. Pacquiao to join us in improving our health awareness, [rather than put us down] with hurtful words." the LGBT advocate added.
ProGay is supporting the RH bill.
