In the recent episode of the longest running American animated sitcom, "The Simpsons", the dancing inmates was referenced.
The “Politically inept, with Homer Simpson” episode was aired last January 8. Homer is in a talk show and asked by the host, after his video rant in the airport became viral. The dialog was “Yes, your video has been mashed up, auto-tuned, Jimmy Fallon’ed, Philippine Prisoner’ed, and occasionally even watched, ha! ”
Back in 2008, the prisoners of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center did a dance routine and was uploaded in youtube. Now the video has more than 40 million hits. The dancing inmates also became a tourists attraction in Cebu.
