After 44 days of trial, Chief Justice Renato Corona is found guilty of non-inclusion of assets in SALN.

The 20-3 votes is a final verdict against CJ Corona. Senator judges Angara, Pia Cayetano, Alan Peter Cayetano, Drillon, Estrada, Guigona, Lapid, Lacson, Legarda, Pangilinan, Pimentel, Recto, Trillanes IV, Villar, Revilla, Escodero, Honasan II, Osmena III and Senate presinate Enrile found the chief justice guilty.Senator Arroyo, Defensor-Santiago and Marcos voted not guilty.

Twenty senators base their votes on the dollar and peso accounts excluded on the chief justice's statement of assets, liabilities and networks or SALN. CJ Corona reason out that his peso accounts are comminglling or a combine account of his family that is why he did declare all the 80 million pesos deposited in the bank. With regards to his dollar accounts, he insisted that he is protected by R.A.6426 law or Foreign Currency Deposit act.

The decision of the impeachment court is final and executory, but Atty. Cuevas will talk to his client if they appeal to the Supreme Court. CJ Corona is still in the hospital.
