DILG Sec.Robredo found dead 180 feet deep

After 3 days of intense search and rescue operation in Masbate, Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary, Jesse Robredo was found 180 feet below sea level.

Last weekend, Sec. Robredo went to Cebu for an event, but on the way back to Manila, the plane that carried the secretary and 3 other men crashed off in the sea of Masbate.

He wanted to go back to Manila immediately to be able to attend and watch the swimming competition of her daughter. He decided to used a private plane instead of a commercial flight. 



The three other people inside the plane are pilot Jessup Bahinting, Nepalese flight student Kshitiz Chand and the only survivor, Police Senior Inspector June Paulo Abrasado. He was found and saved by a fisherman.

Abrasado told the investigator that, was able to released himself from the seat belt and tried to look for the secretary, but he failed. He became unconscious after a few minutes and didn't remember how he got out of the plane.

Around 8:15 in the morning, the dead body of Sec. Robredo was retrieved. The body is now inside a metal casket and will be transported by a plane to Naga City, where he was a former Mayor of the said province.
